Ireland hosts a magnificent diversity of wetlands. Being able to identify wetlands is all-important, especially since several are of national or international conservation value. The Irish Ramsar Wetlands Committee (IRWC) launched Irish Wetland Types – An Identification Guide and Field Survey Manual during National Biodiversity Week 2018. This manual is adapted for the Irish context to facilitate the identification of wetlands in Ireland by non-specialists. During this workshop you will learn more about the different types of wetlands in Ireland, and how to use this guide to identify them.
