Social workers are essential in helping individuals, families, groups, and communities advocate for a better quality of life. Yet, we often forget the importance of self-care and finding practices that enhance our well-being, reduce stress, and fill our cups.
The word Mandela is Sanskrit for 'circle' and was initially seen in India during the first century. Over time Mandalas were believed to have the power to "heal the soul" and offer balance, inner peace, and relaxation.
So whether this is your first attempt or you are an experienced artist, I hope you can find some relaxation or an understanding of the process of experiencing this ancient art.
The event is free for all members of NASW.
