Missouri's legislative session begins January 3.  The legislature will consider bills that impact your practice and your clients, including healthcare coverage, housing policies, behavioral health, human rights, and more. 

Join NASW for a virtual training to learn how to more effectively advocate and make a difference in state government.  

Advocacy Basics covers:

  • A brief overview of the legislative procss.
  • The value of meeting with your Legislators in the community and tips for scheduling/preparing for meetings.
  • 2024 session preview and hightlights of NASW's priorities.

The training will be hosted by NASW-Missouri Chapter's Jefferson City lobbying team. 

NASW Missouri Chapter

The National Association of Social Workers Missouri Chapter is the largest professional association of social workers in the state, with over 1,400 members. Our members represent NASW throughout the state, living and working in rural, suburban, and urban counties. Our members work in wide range of settings among diverse populations. The Missouri Chapter office is located in in downtown Jefferson City, just blocks from the Capital Building. We are a non-profit professional membership organization for degreed social workers as well as students matriculating through Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited schools.
