“Courageously stepping into stories of pain and harm is the very place that true healing and restoration occurs.” - Dan Allender
All of us have stories that have formed us. The invitation into story work is to take a deeper more honest look at the stories that have harmed and marred us and be able to notice and name the loss, betrayal, shame, neglect or even abuse these stories have held. In this process, something truly transformative happens: we find the hope of redemption. This six week workshop will take the intentional time to share and engage each other's stories in a small group setting of 4-5 participants. We are invited to step out of isolation and hiding and back into community. Using the Allender Method of Narrative Informed Story Engagement we will work together to name the impact of our childhood experiences, identify themes and process the places of both harm and hope, brokenness and beauty.
Story Group fosters a sense of belonging as we help each other to put the pieces back together and make sense of our past, opening the door to transformative healing. Prior to attending, you will be asked to write about an aspect of your own childhood (ages 4- 18). Guidelines will be provided to support your personal reflection and writing process,
The cost for the workshop is 400 / individual for six weeks. This event is for women only.
