How can women's voices rise to the level of leadership in corporate to influence business and global policies? This is the focus of our April panel discussion which brings together several powerful women to share insights from their own experience of advancing up the corporate ladder.

MEETING FORMAT

At this meeting we will have a PANEL DISCUSSION. We will introduce each speaker, and then we will pose a series of questions to the speakers. If you have questions you would like us to ask, send them to presidentnapwaustin@gmail.com in advance of the meeting.

Plan to arrive at 6:00pm for informal networking until 6:30pm; appetizer bar, drinks (from the hotel bar).  After open networking we will all enjoy our panel discussion!

LIFT UP!  Mentoring Our Sisters

During the course of the night we are going to participate in Lift Up! There will be a board where you can share a need; for example, maybe you need help understanding Facebook Advertising, or maybe you want to be connected with the head of a certain company. Please place your requests on this board, and peruse the board to see if there's something you can help out with. If you see one you can help with, tack your business card to it. That's a promise for a 30 minute phone call to Lift Up this other woman and help her get what she needs. (Note this is mentoring free of charge, not a sales opportunity.)

SWAG BAG SPONSORS: Your Chance to Shine Your Gifts!

This meeting will include SWAG BAGS! If you have a business or service you would like to promote, now is your chance. When you sponsor our meeting in the SWAG BAG, you'll not only reach attendees with your physical swag in the bag, but you will receive mention in our event promotions, on our Facebook page, and you can include a special offer in an email we are sending to our membership (with links to your website). The exchange for this wonderful marketing opportunity is $25 (plus delivery of swag before the meeting).

CHARITY FOR April

Girlstart

The world’s greatest challenges need new STEM ideas and insights. Half of the world’s potential ideamakers—women and girls—are discouraged from developing their ideas because of social bias or inequity. More girls with more ideas create more solutions.

Girlstart’s mission is to solve this. We increase girls’ interest and engagement in STEM through innovative, nationally-recognized informal STEM education programs. By empowering more girls to continue STEM studies, we can help address our nation’s STEM workforce inequities and impact innovation and economic development in America and across the globe. To accomplish our mission, Girlstart develops and implements a range of innovative, research- and standards-based education and mentorship programs designed to promote girls’ early engagement and academic success in STEM, encourage girls' aspirations and persistence in STEM education and careers, and incubate a talented and diverse STEM workforce.

Girlstart cultivates a culture where risk is rewarded, curiosity is encouraged, and creativity is expected. As a result, Girlstart girls are connected, brave, and resilient. Girlstart makes girls more successful, and inspires them to take on the world’s greatest challenges.
