In these times of constant reminder of violence and dehumanization, our need for radical love can't be greater. We owe it to ourselves to invest in our well-being, be intentional, collaborate for creativity, and celebrate our care for self.

The term "radical" has been applied to many in history that are against some cultural norm. It has been used to vilify movements by people of color for our entire history in this country. Often, our own communities look down upon or push away from those who may be "too radical".
This is a limited view of what the true meaning of "radical". We wish to expand our socialized view to be more dynamic; "radical is relating to or affecting the fundamental nature of something; far-reaching or thorough."
What is the fundamental nature of your self-care?
Do you care for yourself so deeply you are in love?

In a society that constantly bombards us with messages of self doubt, hate and disappointment, we must have a regular practice of loving care for one's self to combat these forces.

This workshop seeks to create an opportunity for womxn of color to build or deepen a practice that goes beyond self-care...radical self-love. Participants will:
* Co-create and environment for accountable sharing.
* Be provided with tools to develop or deepen self-care practices.
* Have opportunity to share what healing means for them culturally and how it is expressed collectively.
* Partner to practice and plan for activities to include in their practice.
* Develop community to support accountability to one's self-love.

"Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.” ? Audre Lorde

This workshop is explicitly for women, girls, femme's, and those inhabiting the feminine spirit who self-identify as a person of color. We will not police these identifications, but do ask if you are in doubt, please do not use this workshop to make that decision. Your identity is yours to choose and worth the fullness of focus to your needs. This is a shared experience amongst all who attend. We cannot prioritize any one person's needs. Please attend this workshop if you wish to build your community of those practicing self-love while you deepen your own practice.
