About the Event

Westwinds Music Society is excited to offer the following workshop to continue our goal of learning, performing and having fun! Please read details below and stay tuned for registration details… These workshops are open to EVERYONE – not just Westwinds members – so sign up, bring a friend and share the love of music!

This 5 week course with Nicole is an enrichment opportunity for band and choral folks.

All musicians want to read better. All musicians want to develop their intonation. Rarely do we have time in weekly rehearsals to hone our sight-reading and ear training skills, which are skills that make a huge difference to our musicianship. Bandies, jazzers, and singers can all benefit from becoming more comfortable with some vocalization, sight-singing, ear training, and dictation skills that would aid in pitching and intonation, developing resonance (in the voice or instrument), improvisation, and reading music more comfortably!

About the Organizer

Westwinds is a not-for-profit Adult community organization operated by and for its members. Regardless of your level of experience, we have a spot for you in one (or more) of our 6 concert bands, 5 jazz bands or 4 choirs. These groups rehearse, in a structured learning environment, once per week from 7 pm to 9 pm, from September through May.
