Music Conference Alberta is Alberta’s premier professional development opportunity for music teachers, choral conductors, band directors, and studio instructors.

Throughout the 2020-2021 year, Music Conference Alberta was reimagined to offer a series of online sessions designed to support music educators in the context of pandemic teaching. For 2021-2022, we have once again reimagined the conference and, for the first time ever, will be offering Music Conference Alberta in 2 parts!

Part 1 will take place online on 27-28 Aug 2021, and will focus on getting your program/ensemble/studio up and running in the wake of COVID uncertainties and disruptions. Four interactive sessions will be offered on the topics of recruitment, retention, relaunching, and rebuilding. Each of the 75-minute sessions will be divided into two parts—the first will be a presentation for all delegates, and the second will be broken down by discipline (ex. recruiting for choirs).

The conference schedule, session descriptions, and presenter biographies are available on the Music Conference Alberta website.
