Umer Rupani

Umer Rupani has been a servant leader, using his skills, experiences, and network to learn about the needs and resources of different societies to foster stronger connections, resulting in a more sustainable and pluralistic relationship. He is currently the Executive Director of Georgia Muslim Voter Project, working to increase civic participation amongst Muslim communities throughout Georgia. Part of his experience comes from being the cofounder and Advisory Board President of H.O.P.E. (Helping Organizations and People Everywhere) Inc., an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization, which embodies the values of: awareness, civil society, and community building. He is also the National Program Manager for a national camp, which he has worked closely with since 2009. Umer holds a M.A. from The George Washington University with a degree in Organizational Management and a B.S. in Psychology from University of Georgia with a focus on Organizational Psychology.

Aksa Asgher is a social media specialist who has worked in various industries in the world of marketing. From agency life in New York City to assist with NGOs and start-ups, Aksa is passionate about bringing brand awareness to light through strategic tactics and using the latest marketing trends. Aksa currently serves as the Media Director for Poligon Education Fund, a national, non-profit organization that aims to increase American Muslim participation on Capitol Hill. Aksa holds a BS from Rochester Institute of Technology in New Media Marketing with a minor in Public Relations and Advertising and received an MBA from La Salle University specializing in Marketing.
