Multigenerational Team Training

Learn more about the different generations

Every generation has its own preferences, quirks and thoughts about culture. Some generations are more vulnerable and more likely to act cautiously in turbulent times. The younger generations are not experiencing those times, but they are growing up with new tech and an ever-changing world based on the lessons of the past. Others may still be positive and optimistic, but may use different language. Employees will be able to gain a better understanding of the temperaments of each generation by learning more about them. This course will cover the history of each generation and key facts.

Eliminate stereotypical behaviours

Inductive reasoning is often invalidated when stereotypes are used. As the mind tries to understand others and fill in any gaps, it is natural to generalize people. False images of other generations can cause alienation and, more importantly, stop businesses from learning from those whose skills are developed through years of experience, technological advances, and personal achievements. These stereotypes often limit our growth. This can be especially true when there are false perceptions of political views that can lead to further divisions in how people think about the workplace. Participants must be aware of these stereotypes in order to address all generations .

Learn organisational skills and plan-making

It can be difficult to set common goals that include all generations. However, understanding how to turn this disadvantage into a permanent benefit will allow businesses to thrive with multiple generations. This means that leaders must be able to consider the mental and physical abilities and dispositions of all generations. It will enable them to provide resources accurately to those who require it and create stronger bonds between their teams. Training may be given to some generations while others may not require it. Or, younger generations may have to use resources like Google/Library to build on their knowledge instead of relying on previous experience. Participants will be able to learn about the history of different generations as well as tools that can help them assess their abilities and build a dynamic, well-organised team.

Learn more about adaptability

Contrary to popular belief, adaptability is not limited to older generations. All people must adapt to one another under any circumstances. It is impossible to answer the question of adaptability by assuming that one generation has more ability than another. Participants must be able learn to share information about office resources, and have informed discussions about the strategies and methods currently being used in order to exercise adaptability. It is a great way to get to know those who have been through business model change the most. Knowledge of generational benefits can make a big difference in how companies manage the productivity of their employees. This course will teach participants how to adapt to generational changes and the benefits that they bring.

Effective communication and interaction in teams

The most successful employees are those who can bridge generations and are open to learning from other perspectives. They are also often the most effective people to consult for team-wide communication. It is important to be able teach each other the basics of the current age. The older generation can offer intellectual, moral, and even creative frameworks while the younger generation can provide more information about the technical aspects of your business. It doesn't matter if certain generations or other "barriers", such as age, hinder the growth and success of companies and teams.
