Slot: 10:00 - 1:30 It's a rain or shine event! Volunteers will assist in weeding, harvest, and other agricultural tasks. Be sure to dress in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty! Volunteers will sign in at the Student Center lobby and get breakfast in the Student Center Cafeteria.
MSUCCG will be hosting volunteers for help with the campus community garden. Volunteers are asked to bring closed toes shoes, and clothes they don't mind getting dirty.
Volunteers will help the staff deliver innovative, interactive activities to adult men and women with developmental disabilities, while supporting each individual’s unique personal and medical needs. Volunteers will engage in active, recreational activities with the adult students, so dress comfortably!
Volunteers will sort and package medical supplies to be shipped.
Volunteers will work directly with trained Rutgers Master Gardeners on behalf of Care of The Park at Essex County Branch Brook Park in partnership with Community Foundation of New Jersey. Always wear closed-toed shoes. We dig-in and get dirty so we recommend wearing clothes you are comfortable getting damaged. This is a rain or shine project.
Volunteers will be helping out with the food pantry, and community garden.
Park Clean Up. Attire: Old jeans, shirts, boots, sneakers.
The job is outdoors rain or shine- mulching, weeding and planting in our gardens.
Plarn is short for “plastic yarn.” Plarn is made by cutting plastic grocery bags into strips, which are then strung together into a single long strand. You can use plarn to crochet sturdy, reusable tote bags, purses, doormats, and more.
Each year, the Montclair State University community comes together to honor those victims and first-responders of the 9/11 Day attacks through service.
