Speaker Bio's:
Nicole Gibson - Mental Health Commissioner of Australia, CEO of The Rogue & Rouge Foundation and Startup Apprentice

Nicole is known as a multi-award winning social entrepreneur, but she prefers to be known as an unstoppable messenger of love and human potential. When Nicole was 18 years old, she established a Not-for-Profit and grew it to sustainability, while completing two national speaking tours. At 20 years old, she was a finalist for the Young Australian of the Year and listed as one of Australia’s top 100 most influential women at 21, shortly after taking out the Pride of Australia Medal. She has made the front cover of The Financial Review, the Yellow Pages and had a documentary aired on prime-time national TV. Nicole is a fierce ambassador for mental health, innovation and connection after recovering for her own terrifying lived experience with anorexia nervosa through her teenage years. She is currently the CEO of two organisations; The Rogue & Rogue Foundation and Startup Apprentice, as well as the youngest Commonwealth Commissioner for Health in history, advising directly to the Australian Federal Health Minister and Prime Minister. In NIcole’s career so far, she has facilitated workshops and presentations with over a quarter of a million Australians. She is a skilled and experienced motivational speaker and facilitator, developing her own facilitation methods early on in her career, which continue to evolve. She draws upon 10 years of theatre training as the basis of her facilitation style.

Max Lynam - Head of Silicon Beach, Digital Strategist and Director of MAX.as Social Impact

Max has a penchant for innovation, entrepreneurship and human rights. Max heads up Australia's largest entrepreneurial network and is passionate about helping people create and strategically execute their visions.
Through MAX.as, he provides data-driven, human-centred strategic systems design services to organisations that seek to create greater social impact through their work. Starting his career marketing and cutting records for the nightclub scene of the 1990s before making the (obviously) natural progression to managing data for the military. During this period he won the Queen's Medal for Strategic Planning and honed his skills in programming and systems design. After fleeing his concrete bunker, Max cleansed his soul by building an international ecommerce business, while running a flower farm. For over 20 years he's been helping others bring their products to market and more effectively engage with their audience online. Max now brings his diverse experiences to lead human-centred co-design processes in organisations that care about social impact. His data driven approach allows them to design, develop, measure and report to guide greater social outcomes.

Joel De Ross - Innovation Activist, Social Entrepreneur & Founder of FMIN Creative

In ten years, technology will be one thousand times more advanced than it is now. What will that world look like? What is an Innovation Activist and what role do they play in the great transition of society and industry? In this presentation, Joel will dive deep into the technology rabbit hole where many fear to venture, and will also provide you structured and practical steps towards utilising entrepreneurial methodologies to create successful social enterprises, and an alternative system that is superior to the one we are currently participating in.

Joel de Ross is a social entrepreneur, futurist and founder of Future Music Industry Network. He specializes in the commercial application of Virtual & Augmented Reality within the music and events industry. More recently, he has applied his expertise in event simulation to a project called Concrete Exodus. The mission is to help the indigenous people of Borneo reconnect with their ancestral land through a re-imagined village. All planned and coordinated remotely using Virtual Reality.

We look forward to sharing the insights that these accomplished individuals are showing up to pass on to you.

Social Innovation is a powerful communities, aiming to assist you in creating positive social impact - in whatever way that may be. #sieventsmelb
