In times of instability and uncertainty we can lose our footing and become focused on the past or get caught up in future possibilities while missing the moments we have in the present. Join me for a conversation while participating in a LIVE process group that invites participants to consider how Mindfulness practices invite us to slow down, pay attention to the present moment, and not just survive but thrive even in the midst of navigating all of the unknowns.

Sharon Hicks, LPC, is passionate about faith, family, and relationships. She invite couples to engage in deeper and more meaningful ways by facilitating safe, emotional connection. Her hope is that every individual that enters her office or participates in one of her retreats feels seen and heard as they actively engage in the process of exploring their own unique story. Exploring deeper longings and motivations below the surface level of often distressing emotions and behaviors, individuals and couples unearth heart felt beliefs about self and others. She takes the deep dive with individuals and couples to difficult personal and relational spaces to help them shed light and hope into some of the most difficult and distressing experiences in their stories. She invites wholeness, healing, restoration, and improved connection with the things and people that matter most. When not in the office she enjoys playing Bach on the piano, sipping coffee with friends and getting new stamps in her passport. Having lived in south east Asia with her family of 6 for a season, she was given the gift of becoming a global citizen which has given her a bigger view of the world and informs her perspective on life. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: MA, Counseling, Cincinnati Christian University Missionary, Member Care and Community Liaison, Alongside Coach, Trainer, Parakaleo.us Certified Discernment Counselor.
