Title: Salary and Benefits Negotiating for Social Work Professionals

One of the most repeated phrases social workers hear and say is that the social work profession is undervalued and underpaid. One barrier is that while we are skilled in helping people and managing organizations, we are underequipped to negotiate for what we are worth and often leave money on the table when we negotiate our compensation. This workshop is designed to equip social workers with best-practices and knowledge to skillfully negotiate the best possible compensation.

This workshop is presented by distinguished Rutgers School of Social Work Professor Anna Haley, PhD., MSW. Professor Haley has created a series of professional development workshops that aim to equip social workers with professional acumen and elevate the field as a whole.

Afterwards, we will have some time for feedback about what you, our valued members, want from your Middlesex NASW-NJ unit! Whether you have a topic you want to hear more about, an activity you would like to suggest, or even something you want present, let us know and we will make it happen together!
