Please join Hasselblad Master, Jorge de la Torriente, and multiple international award winning photographer, John Kosmopoulos, for a 3 day fine art workshop in Miami Beach, Florida! During this workshop, we will explore the unique Art Deco Architecture, the colorful Life Guard Stands, Beach Life and Street Beach Vignettes that encapsulates the striking cultural ambiance of this unique area.
Participants will enjoy 1:1 guidance on striking compositions and how to tap into their own fine art impulses and vision beyond the postcard view using conventional, long exposure and other creative techniques and edits. The workshop also includes an in-depth review of participant work with online follow-up to enhance what they have learned in the workshop and one 24x36 print from the workshop.
Weekend Plans:
Day 1 – Orientation and breakfast 9 am (at Hotel or Location TBD). Beach Area and Art Deco Lifeguard Stands (Between 5th & 10th Street).
Day 2 – In the morning, we will walk over to South Point Park along with some other Lifeguard Stands. We will then stop for lunch and start our tour of the famous Art Deco Buildings and Details along Ocean Drive. As the day progresses, we will also photograph the umbrellas and beach vignettes (participants may try a telescopic pole to get a new perspective on these scenes). As sunset is early, we will enjoy a chance at some creative photography and then have a nice dinner together.
Day 3 – (9 am - 12 pm) – Additional Art Deco Buildings and sit-down (TBD) to review photos and post-processing.
Note: The itinerary is subject to change based on circumstances such as weather, access, etc.
