While mentorship has always been a part of faculty's professional responsibilities as instructors and advisors, increasing expectations for effective mentorship suggest that additional professional development in this area may be useful. This workshop will help you define mentorship that best fits your specific discipline or department, establish possible guidelines for effective mentorship, and determine what kinds of evidence you could collect as support for annual evaluations, reappointment, tenure, and promotion.
