Join authors Georgia Kemp Caraway and Nanci M. Kimmey and welcome their new title, Images of America: North Texas State fair and Rodeo, at the City of Denton Public Library on October 4th at 7pm. The book boasts 128 pages of vintage images chronicling the history of one of Texas’ largest fairs and rodeos.  Registration not required.

The Special Collections Department of the Denton Public Library is located on the main floor of the historic Emily Fowler Central Library. The Special Collections are composed of three separate collections: Genealogy, Texana, and Denton local history. Specialized indexes and the electronic catalog provide access to approximately 15,000 cataloged items which include books, pamphlets, microfilm, newspapers, scrapbooks, yearbooks, photographs, letters, journals, oral histories, and the vertical file containing material about local history.
