Medical Marijuana and Its Effects on the Body and Brain

David Aronson, MSW LCSW

Workshop Objectives:  Participants will have the opportunities to discuss facts about cannabis and its effects on the body and brain, as well as possible medication interactions.  The presenter will provide information about cannabis usage among patients having varied medical conditions.  Participants will also be presented information that will describe differences between medical, recreational, and dependent cannabis use.  Given that clients and families will have questions, clinicians are often a primary source of information.  It is essential for practitioners to have quality up-to-date information and the ability to offer guidance as needed.
