The NCU-CNSA will be teaming up with Amy Rowe and Wissam Constantin to offer Medical American Sign Language (ASL) workshops to students in the Ryerson, Centennial, George Brown Collaborative Nursing Degree Program during the winter break!
Each workshop will run for 60-90 minutes over Zoom and include a brief history of Deaf culture, assumptions about Deaf and hard of hearing people, as well as basic emergency medical American Sign Language. It will cover emergency room assessment of a patient and teach basic phrases used in all clinical settings.
