Love allows children to grow through their mistakes. Logic allows them to live with the consequences of their choices. We'll teach you how to give your children both, all while maintaining your own sanity.
In this parenting program, you'll learn how to:¨ Avoid un-winnable power-struggles and arguments ¨ Stay calm when your kids do incredibly upsetting things ¨ Set enforceable limits ¨ Avoid enabling and begin empowering ¨ Help your kids learn from mistakes rather than repeating them ¨ Raise kids who are family members rather than dictators ....And so much more!
This parenting program is designed to give you practical skills that can be used immediately!
*** Class meets Saturday March 11th and Saturday March 18th, from 9am to 2pm****
Since 1977, the Love and Logic Institute has been dedicated to making parenting fun and rewarding, instead of stressful and chaotic. We provide practical tools and techniques that help adults achieve respectful, healthy relationships with their children while helping to prepare kids for the real world. All of our work is based on a psychologically sound parenting and teaching philosophy called Love and Logic. For more information about the Love and Logic approach, visit www.loveandlogic.com.

Leah has been a psychotherapist for the last 6 years, specializing in working with children and their grown-ups on finding solutions for more harmonious living. She has a degree in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota with a minor in Family Violence and Prevention as well as a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Adler Graduate School. Leah is licensed in the state of Minnesota as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She owns a private practice in rural Minnesota, called Mischief Managed, where she provides child therapy and parent coaching services with her trusty side-kick therapy dog Darla. Leah is also a mother to two children and would like to formally disclaim that she is in no way a perfect parent, despite all of this education and experience. I'm learning and growing as a parent right along with you.
