Uniquely, all of humanity is united in experiencing a global pandemic together and we are all feeling a wide range of emotions. Anxiety, fear, and a little claustrophia, perhaps. But what about grief and loss? Join Tera Gibbs, SMart Center counselor as she discusses how grief, loss, and other stressors may be more pronounced during this unprecedented time. Tera will outline strategies to recognize and manage these feelings, as well as how to constructively seek support during social distancing.

SMart Center

International expert Dr. Elisa Shipon-Blum and her dedicated team provide a supportive, comprehensive center that addresses the needs of the child, teen, and young adult with Selective Mutism, Anxiety, Depression, and related challenges. Dr. Shipon-Blum developed Social Communication Anxiety Treatment® or S-CAT®, the evidenced-based treatment program exclusively used at the SMart Center, has been used to successfully treat over 6,000 individuals worldwide. Selective Mutism and related social communication anxiety disorders are widely misunderstood. As a result, individuals suffering from these issues are frequently misdiagnosed and mismanaged. The SMart Center gives those affected by these challenges—and their families—a place to feel safe, at home, and understood. Learn more at https://selectivemutismcenter.org/
