Lymph Drainage Professional Certification (Modules 1 & 2)

As a gentle form of bodywork, lymph drainage is performed with a very light touch that facilitates the removal of metabolic waste, excess water and toxins from the body. Additional benefits include deep relaxation, pain relief and immune-boosting effects. Lymph drainage is not a ‘massage’, but a non-invasive superficial technique that affects the watersheds of the body, using only techniques that gently stretch or slightly press against the skin.
200 hour Lymph Drainage Professional Certification:
35 hours class instruction
130 hours practicum (65 practicum sessions: 6 people X 10 session, +5 self sessions with record keeping)
15 hours independent assignments
20 hours home study/exam preparation
Exam (to be scheduled within one year of class instruction modules)
Content:
Lymph Drainage Theory; History and Pioneers in the Lymph Drainage Field; Essential Anatomy and Physiology of the Body, Anatomy and Physiology of the Lymph System; Watersheds and Direction of Flow; Major Drainage Points; Disorders of the Lymphatic System; Contraindications and Special Considerations; Sensing Lymph Flow; Techniques; Lymph Drainage Routine; Treatment Planning, Tracking Symptom Changes; Measurement Techniques; Health Record Keeping; Practicum and Assignment Guidelines.

Pre-requiste: none.
Certificate Awarded: Following class instruction: Certificate of Attendance attesting to 35 hours of training;
Following completion of full course requirements: Professional Certificated attesting to 200 hours of training
