The United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island will provide a number of opportunities for members of the bar to earn CLE credits throughout 2019.  Steven Sloman, Ph.D and Joachim Krueger. Ph.D will present the psychology and cognitive science of implicit bias. Registration is free and limited to the first 50 attorneys who register.  1.5 CLE credits offered.

Steven Sloman, Ph.D.
Professor, Brown University

Steven Sloman received his Ph.D. in Psychology from Stanford University in 1990 and completed his post-doctoral research at University of Michigan. He began teaching at Brown in 1992. Steven is a cognitive scientist who studies how people think.

Joachim Krueger, Ph.D.
Professor, Brown University

Joachim Krueger received his Ph.D. from the University of Oregon in 1988, where he attests he had a glorious experience. He completed his postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute in Berlin before coming to Brown in 1991. He studies topics in social judgment and decision-making, such as self-perception, strategic interpersonal behavior, and intergroup relations.
