If you are an owner of a Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) property that also has HOME funds, or are considering new construction with these two programs mixed, then this class is for you. It has been commonly believed that, at these blended properties, if you are in compliance with the LIHTC rules, then you will also be incompliance with HOME. Since July 2013, and the implementation of the HOME final rule, some of us have learned the hard way that this is not the case. Join us for an overview of the differences between the programs and what to do to keep yourself in compliance with both programs. We will be covering the basics of each program, where they are different and where they are the same and how to handle situations where the rules conflict.

Idaho AHMA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening affordable housing in Idaho through its commitment to continued education and training, timely industry communication, and strong membership representation.
