Living Proud has provided support to LGBTIQ+ people and communities in WA for nearly 50 years, providing peer support, community development projects and LGBTIQ+ education for mainstream community. QLife provides Australia-wide anonymous LGBTIQ+ peer support and referral for people wanting to talk about a range of issues including sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings or relationships.
QLife is largely delivered by trained LGBTIQ+ Volunteer Peer Supporters and this session is an opportunity to find out about the process to become a Peer Supporter – what we ask of volunteers, the skills you will gain and how you will support your peers in the community.
Other roles are available for anyone who would like more occasional volunteer opportunities, We have current vacancies in events, fundraising, disability/accessibility support, social media and administration roles.
The venue is wheelchair accessible and light refreshments will be offered.
