The 4-hour deaf sensitivity training class is entitled I Never Gave THAT a Thought! This series of collaborative training is for invited agencies, organizations, agencies and departments, towns, cities, counties, bureaus including federal agencies such as FLET-C, US Marshals Service, FEMA, EEOC, FBI, CIA, US Border Patrol, HIDTA (High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas-DEA), and TSA, among others, headquartered or operating within the State of Arizona.

This area of the website is for the online webinar on Thursday, October 27, 2022. 1300-1700 hours. Other classes are being scheduled. You are invited to call us at HQ at 480 615-8900 or from northern AZ at 702 430-8685 or Southern Arizona 520 407-6606 to suggest dates that may not be shown on this website yet, or contact us via email at DeafSensitivity@DeptOfEd.org

Looking at this page, you have most probably received our invitation to participate or have been referred to it by someone in the field.

Due to the number of invited organizations, especially law enforcement and other agencies in Arizona, starting times for the 4-hour class will vary. Some will start at 0700, 0900, 1200,1300, AND EVEN 0200 (2:00AM!) This scheduling will make it easier for those who work after the midnight hour to benefit from this unique and exclusive class.

Recently, a new high-interest segment has been introduced about Deaf in Prison, which should be of keen interest to many. The subject of federal law and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) may assist in leveraging liability and compliance as well as enhancing on-the-job performance and safety for everyone.

AZ-sworn personnel may request a course completion certificate for AZ-POST credit.

PLEASE NOTE that AZ-POST requires that you have a working camera on your computer or tablet (iPad) while taking a class remotely in order to receive appropriate training credit. We discourage the use of smartphones due to the small screens on those devices. Participant material will be sent via email once you are registered. It is requested that you purchase an inexpensive pair of earplugs for our "dive into the pool of silence" segment. American Sign Language (ASL) is touched upon. Learning the ASL alphabet and some useful words and phrases will be extremely useful on the job as well as in your private life.

THIS REGISTRATION PAGE IS FOR THURSDAY, OCT. 27, 2022, 1:00PM-5:00PM. To reach a member of our staff, call from Central AZ to 480 615-8900; from Southern AZ call 520 407-6606 and from Central to Northern AZ call 702 430-8685. eMail  DeafSensitivity@DeptOfEd.org

Tylin Promotions reserves the right to change the date and time of this class. Should it conflict with the attendees' schedule, a refund will be made if requested, or paid fees may be transferred for use with another class not yet posted without any change fee.

EXTENDED, FULLY DETAILED TRAINING as mentioned on TV, radio throughout Arizona, on Thin Blue Training, Craigslist and other internet sites. This Deaf sensitivity training class is entitled I Never Gave THAT a Thought!. It has been given to law enforcement for many years. Some classes are on-site (at our client's location or other venue). This one is online. This is NOT a quickie like a 1 - 1 1/2 hour awareness presentation, but rather one that offers the scope and depth of what is needed to understand and work with people who are Deaf & hard of hearing (DHH).The class is AZ-POST certified & is a 4-hour, unduplicated and intense class in the US with regard to its unique content and practicality. The company's founder and facilitator, Fred Greenspan, was selected to present on the subject of Deafness by the Arizona Supreme Court for its annual judicial conference, and presented several sessions for staff training at the Pinal County Courts in AZ as well as to Deputies in the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, Maricopa County Sheriffs Office, Las Vegas Metro Police Department, and McCarran Int'l Airport (now renamed the Harry Reid Int'l Airport) in Las Vegas, Nevada on several occasions and many more organizations and agencies throughout the US.
