Deposition Skills Program 

The United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island, in partnership with the Roger Williams University School of Law and the Rhode Island Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, is proud to announce its comprehensive hands-on deposition skills training program.

This program will provide hands-on training in deposition skills and will take place from April 25 to April 27, 2018. The course will be an intensive three-day program to be held at the Federal Courthouse in Providence, Rhode Island. The faculty teaching the program will include federal and state judges, Roger Williams Law School faculty, and experienced Rhode Island trial lawyers. This program offers 12 CLE credits, including 1 ethics credit. Registration will close when the program is full, so interested attorneys should apply as soon as possible.

The schedule for the program is as follows:

Wednesday, April 25: 1 to 5 p.m. Lectures and Workshops with a reception to follow.

Thursday, April 26: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lectures and Workshops

Friday, April 27: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 noon Lecture and Workshop

The cost of the program is $550 (including course materials).  Payment is required upon registration via credit card or PayPal. If you have any questions regarding payment or payment options, please contact Lisa Quartino at lisa_quartino@rid.uscourts.gov.

Partial scholarships are available to lawyers of all backgrounds who require financial assistance.

If you would like to apply for scholarship funding, please first contact the FBA at dwollin@hinckleyallen.com with a brief description of the nature of your law practice and a request to be considered for a scholarship. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will be provided with a special code which should be used when you register for the program.

Cancellation policy

Refund Policy:  If a change in your schedule necessitates withdrawal from the program, please contact us no later than Wednesday, April 11, 2018, to receive a full refund.  You will be required to return course materials to receive your refund.

After that date, refunds will be made only if we are able to find a replacement for your space in the program (or if you are able to find someone to attend in your place).
