  • View new demonstration films from John and Julie Gottman’s clinical office
  • Refine your clinical skills and expand your strategies and interventions in your work with couples
  • Learn to internalize and integrate the powerful, research-based Gottman Method assessment and intervention techniques
  • Gain insight as to when to use these methods and when couples therapy is contraindicated
  • Gain confidence in using the techniques


What Will You Learn?



  • Assess a couple’s Friendship Profile, Conflict Profile, and Shared Meaning Profile
  • Develop interventions that couples can use as antidotes to the Four Horsemen
  • Help couples to soothe physiological flooding
  • Apply six modes of changing the Attack/Defend System in a couple’s interactions
  • Assist couples in establishing dialogue about their gridlocked conflicts
  • Select and implement interventions to help couples deepen their Friendship System with rituals of connection
  • Select and implement interventions to help couples create a shared system of values and meaning
  • Identify and implement five different co-morbidities common to couples using Gottman Method assessments and interventions

About the Organizer

About the presenters: *Peg Davies, MS, LMFT is a Certified Gottman Therapist, Master Trainer of the Gottman Method, Certified Gottman Workshop Leader, and Clinical Fellow of the AAMFT. Peg has been a Certified Gottman Therapist for the past 15 years and regularly trains clinicians and assists couples at the popular Art of Science and Love workshops hosted by John and Julie Gottman in Seattle. Peg is in private practice in Bellingham, WA. *Pat Worthey, PhD was one of the first ten certified Gottman Therapists in the world, and has been in private practice for over twenty years. She is a Master Trainer, Certified Workshop leader, and Consultant. She trains clinicians and students worldwide in the Gottman Method. *Michael McNulty, PhD has over twenty-five years experience in counseling and psychotherapy. In his work as a Senior Certified Gottman Relationship Therapist, trainer and workshop leader, Michael conducts trainings for other professionals in the Gottman Method. He facilitates Art & Science of Love couples’ workshops, and acts as consultant in the Gottman Method.
