Local Emergency Operations Plan - Know Your Plan for Municipal/Tribal Partners

THIS CLASS WILL ***NOT*** TEACH HOW TO DEVELOP YOUR PLAN OR UPDATE THE TEMPLATE.

This class is for municipal partners who have already or are in the process of transitioning to the newer (2016) Local Emergency Operations Plan template .

  • The template version rolled out in DEMHS Region 4 will be the focus of class discussions.
  • However, municipal staff from throughout the State and DEMHS regions may benefit from the class.

This will be an interactive class.

  • Attendees will be expected to ACTIVELY participate in class discussions to promote meaningful dialogue on the subject with and among partners.
  • Participants should have their current plan or draft plan at the ready (digitally) to locate items and make notations.
  • Please come with questions as well as recommendations for other partners based on your lessons learned, EOC tools, and messaging examples that may improve partners' plans.
  • This will be an opportunity to review the organizational structure of your LEOP and the many available resources offered by the new format.
  • With this class, you will gain familiarity with the plan structure for use operationally.

Here is an idea of some of the agenda for the day:

Cancellation policy

*****Cancellation and Registration Policy*****
Please understand that when registering for a limited access course, each registrant reserves a seat away from another potentially interested party.

We understand that everyone is busy and wearing multiple hats during these times, including our instructors.

Respectfully, however, if there is not an immediate and true emergency, we would ask that 24 hours advance notice is provided to our instructors if planning to miss a scheduled event.

This would allow those on a waitlist to be invited to participate in your absence, improves the interactive class experience, and also ensures that our instructors’ time is well spent.

Also, please understand that instructors have the right to restrict access to any event or remove participants from events.

Additionally, if you fail to provide any additional information requested and/or you do not fully complete the registration process, your registration will not be accepted.

Again, DO NOT SHARE links to virtual classes or viewing with individuals that do not have a confirmed registration!
