The PD/Conference Committee has received numerous requests over the years to provide a Payroll session.
We have been fortunate to partner with the Canadian Payroll Association to provide 2 sessions to our members. The first session “Learning Payroll I” will be held on October 12, 2018 and the second session “Learning Payroll II” will be held in March of 2019. Both sessions will be at the Victoria Inn Winnipeg.

Expand on the concepts from Learning Payroll I by exploring more complex processes and government requirements. This interactive, exercise-based seminar covers the fundamentals of taxable earnings, allowances and benefits, terminations and garnishments.
Learning Payroll II expands on the concepts from Learning Payroll I by exploring more complex processes and government requirements. It is a comprehensive, interactive seminar designed for:
- New staff with no or limited exposure to payroll and junior payroll staff
- Practitioners returning to the payroll field
- Other professionals who have functional responsibility for payroll
- Suppliers providing payroll services to corporate customers.
Although Learning Payroll I is not a prerequisite, it is strongly recommended. Take home materials include Exercises and Learning Payroll II learning materials binder.
