CLASS FEE:  $100 ($90 with Museum Members 10% discount)

 

Fee includes: Use of all studio tools and equipment, bulk studio slips, stains, glazes, and firings. Student must purchase thier own clay, under glazes, and specialty items.

 

ENROLLMENT:

Minimum: 6

ADDITIONAL OPEN STUDIO TIME for pottery students:

Wednesdays 6–9p

Fridays 12:30p - 3:30p

Saturdays 9a–12n

  • Instructors and/or Teaching Assistants are always in the studio to help! 

 

PREREQUISITES: MUST be a current or past Museum pottery student. 

Please note: Potential students who have NOT taken a recent Museum pottery class should contact the instructors prior to registration. (Instructor contact info is below.)

 

ABOUT THE STUDIO: 

The Museum Pottery Studio is a well-equipped, safe workspace which includes: 

  • 12 wheels, 3 large electric kilns, 2 slab rollers, a pugmill for recycling clay, 2 extruders, and industrial air cleaners; 
  • All basic tools, materials, and supplies for all classes; 
  • A studio library which offers books, DVDs, magazines and publications.
  • Extensive storage and shelving for each student with a designated shelf for her/his on-going work and personal supplies.

 

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS: 

Penny Kliner and Vicki Hibbert have been working in the pottery studio for many years. Previously TA's in the program, Penny & Vicki promise a fun, creative learning experience for the “Kil’n Time” participants.
