As part of our annual birding celebration, internationally known conservation biologist, Thomas Lovejoy will present our keynote lecture, A Wild Solution to Climate Change. Dr. Lovejoy is an innovative and creative scientist who coined the term "biological diversity" in 1980.  From critically important long-term research in the heart of the Amazon (which brought tropical forests to international light), serving on science and environmental councils in multiple presidential administrations, founding the popular series Nature on public television, developing "debt-for-nature" swap programs and many, many more globally significant environmental efforts, Dr. Lovejoy's vita is much too long to provide here.  Come to the keynote and learn more from this individual who has dedicated his life to the planet.
