    Join me on a photography adventure of a lifetime! From luxurious amenities of beach front accommodation with ocean view rooms, to the adventure filled excursions, it's all included! Kauai truly is a photographer's paradise and we will experience it all! Our group will experience first hand some of the most photogenic pristine views in the world while capturing stunning images by air, land and sea. You will have a front row seat to capturing the soaring cliffs of the Na Pali Coast, the vast chasms of Waimea Canyon, and the cascading waterfalls and undeveloped beaches of the "Island of Discovery", the variety and opportunities on this adventure are endless.

 This deluxe workshop (limited to only 8 participants) will be based out of  the luxurious Coconut Beach Marriott Courtyard property located just 10 minutes from the Lihue Airport. Accomidations and excursions are all included! The variety of locations and content within this workshop is unmatched. Beginners to Advanced, this workshop will be adaptable to all as this it has been carefully designed for photographers of all skill levels.

Additional workshop requirements

   During our meet and greet at the hotel the day before the workshop begins, each participant must sign a release form which relieves workshop guide from any responsibility for any accidents and injuries incurred during the workshop. Every safety precaution will be taken to ensure no one is injured in any way during the workshop but things happen and one may trip up, fall, twist an ankle during the workshop or one may wonder off to far, out of sight.

 This form must be signed as a NPS requirement. Failure to do so will disqualify one from participating in the workshop with full forfeiture of the paid workshop fee and in this case one should not plan to participate in this workshop.

When the workshop guides meets with all participants the evening before the first day of the workshop, each one will need to confirm that he/she is in good physical condition for walking/hiking over the 5 day workshop.  If one has a medical condition, that participant must notify the workshop instructor of that medical condition. Please be aware that unknown medical conditions may prevent the entire group from being taken to any given site.

 Meet Your Guide

Ryan Smith has been a professional photographer for over 4  years and is based in Ogden Utah with his wife Erica and 6 children and one on the way! He specializes landscape, travel and night sky photography and is passionate about sharing his knowledge showing others the incredible world we live in. Ryan is representaed within a variety of Galleries in Utah, Idaho, Jackson Hole Wyoming, Colorado, and Chicago. He has been published and recognized by a variety of photography and travel magaizines.

Ryan having extensiveseveral years of experience exploring and photographing this beautiful island, he will share with our group many of iconic spots including many lesser known locations that will provide endless opportunities.

Cancellation policy

By signing up for any workshop, each participant agrees to the following terms and conditions.

We strive to make each and every trip a success for their clients. However, at times, events beyond our control make that impossible. Accordingly, there may at times be a situation arising which makes it necessary for us to cancel or modify a trip. Should this occur, these terms and conditions apply.

Capture Kauai Photography Workshop/ Ryan Smith assumes and incurs no liability as a result of any weather event, war, unrest, political confrontation or other act of God which may occur anywhere in the world that may impact this trip. Ryan Smith and workshops has no liability for any events over which they do not have direct control and may alter or influence. We reserve the right to substitute hotels or accommodations with a similar category for those previously indicated and make any changes in the itinerary with respect to location, transportation or other trip details. Trips may cancel prior to departure if we feel it is in the best interest of the trip and the participants to do so. We are  charged with insuring the best interest of our clients and does everything reasonably expected to ensure their safety and well-being. However, we are not responsible for any costs or expenses and will not refund any trip payments nor are we further liable for any other trip preparation expenses, including air tickets, visas, medical expenses or any other costs incurred in preparing for said trip.  We further reserve the right to modify, change or cancel the itinerary as it sees fit.

Additionally, we assume no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in travel schedules, sickness, weather, strike, war or other causes. All such losses or expenses will be borne by passenger. Baggage and equipment is at the owners risk entirely, and it is the owners responsibility to make arrangements to convey said baggage and have it at the proper destination. Travel and medical insurance is optional and is the responsibility of the passenger to purchase. We recommend said purchase.

Participants give permission to Natural Exposures to use any images taken of them on a Natural Exposures trip for promotional materials of Natural Exposures trips and their website. Participants give permission to use any quotes about the trip they send to Natural Exposures to be used on their website or promotional materials for their trips. Natural Exposures has the right to add up to 2 guests over maximum to a tour. This is sometimes needed to fill a safari vehicles, accommodate a couple or find a room mate for a guest.

Should Natural Exposures, Inc its assigns be required to incur attorney fees or costs required in enforcing this agreement, or defending against terms in this agreement, the trip participant identified below agrees to indemnify and hold them harmless for all such fees and costs.

The parties stipulates and agree that mediation shall be required prior to any legal action.
