K Sports Hockey Club would like to welcome you to our 2 day family friendly (excluding pets) festival with two groups contesting for 1 trophy on the 24th and 25th July 2021.  We will be running a mixed 7-a-side event with daytime and evening entertainment.  Food and drink facilities will be available all day, including a fully stocked bar, ice cream dessert van, bouncy castle and a curry will also be on offer in the evening once all games have been completed. Although the clubhouse facilities will be available, there will be extra portaloos so no one gets caught short.  There are showers in the clubhouse but please be mindful that there might be a lot of traffic so remain patient.  To reduce overheads for travelling teams we have secured camping on site for Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th, just bring your tents!  At least one of the festival officials will be there to meet you and show you where to set up. The first games will start at 10:00am, please ensure you arrive with plenty of time to get organised.  The agenda for the day will be available once all teams have registered, an email will be sent out to points of contact stated on registration.  Please organise your teams before booking your team ticket.

 

IMPORTANT- All attendees including; umpires, players, businesses and spectators must independently register.  This is essential for Covid arrangements and any consent needed for photos or videos.   

We will also be doing a free mini u18s tournament during the lunch break, same rules as over 18s festival apply. 

 

 

 

 

   FESTIVAL RULES

All players must be over 18 (Unless playing in the mini U18s tournament)

 Over 18s - 30 min games with 5 min half time 

U18s - 15 min games 

Max squad size of 12.

 

7-a-side half pitch, the pitch is marked with blue lines.  

 

There must be a minimum of two female outfielders on the pitch at all times during games.

Keepers may be female or male, if you are not playing a keeper then kicking backs are not allowed for safety reasons.  If you do not have a keeper then feel free to borrow one from another team, or any players if you're struggling to find your team by the afternoon!

 

No abuse of umpires or aggressive behaviour to anyone will be tolerated, if you act in that manner then you’re in the wrong place and you will be asked to leave.

Long corners are placed at a distance the umpire decides is ok.

5 metre rule as per usual.

Defensive shorts: 5 defenders back (Inc. Keeper), 2 players must be stood in the other ‘D’.

Reverse stick shots only allowed within reason and only if you can accurately place the ball on the ground.

 

No drinks on the pitch.

 

 

Players must wear personal protective equipment during games; it is your own responsibility to wear it. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Try to find the right level of tour hockey with your opponents; don’t be that team who’s trying too hard and don’t be that team who doesn’t try at all.

Please turn up to all matches; your opponents and umpires have made the effort to get there. We’ve built the schedule to allow plenty of time for mischief between games.

 

The most important rule is to be happy, make friends with your opposition and have fun!!!

 

 

Cancellation policy

Deadline for cancellation and refund is 13th June 2021.  Partial/full refund may be possible after this date but not guaranteed.
