Fuels Technology- Using a 3D Laser Scanner as a Utility in Storage Tank Terminals
The use of 3D laser scanners provide a terminal owner/operator the ability to evaluate individual assets and their terminal as a whole. The scanner provides the data necessary to develop strapping charts, evaluate deformation, assemble as-builts, develop SOPs, establish inventory control, and much more. This presentation will focus on how these tools help operators better manage and operate storage tank terminals to maintain their assets and drive an efficient operation.
