Shahid will be sharing his personal experiences of escape from persecution in Uganda in 1972 and how he has gone on to become an award-winning Director of the prestigious Clifton Packaging Group in Leicester.
Shahid has been a pioneer in numerous endeavours including being the first Asian to be Chairman of the Institute of Directors of Leicestershire and a former board member of Leicestershire County Cricket Club.
He is passionate about motivating young people to achieve their full potential and, as a former Manor High parent, is keen to mentor and support our students.
As a charismatic speaker, the evening promises to be both inspirational and entertaining.
The evening is in aid of Watermead’s house charity, WaterAid, plus the schools 50th anniversary outdoor canopy fund.
Tickets cost £5.00 for adults and are free of charge for under 16s. Tickets can be reserved online but payment needs to be made direct to the school, either in person or by post. Cheques can be made payable to Manor High School.
