Presentation Overview: 

Leadership theory presented with focus on the business process activity diagram, the central tool for effective process understanding and change in any organization. The Business Process Diagram is the key tool that provides the linkage between specific processes and the overall business model.  It serves as a “Rosetta Stone” for all business process activities, understanding specific business processes in the context of the larger business model and the activities that drive business to profitability.

Mr. Marcus S. Parker Sr., PMP®, CSM®, LSSBB                                                                         

Program Manager - Department of Defense

Consultant/Lead Instructor - ATEM Group, LLC    

Past-President & Chapter Trustee -  Project Management Institute, Silver Spring, MD Chapter 

Marcus Parker is an internationally recognized lecturer, author, and an industry thought leader with 19 years’ of professional experience in engineering and program management. He is currently a Program Manager with the Department of Defense and consultant with the ATEM Group. With the ATEM Group he leads the program management and business process reengineering services line.  He holds both a BS and MS from Rochester Institute of Technology. His BS is in Engineering and his MS is a Cross Disciplinary master’s in Engineering & Technology Management. Marcus is the recipient of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) 2015 Chapter Leadership award and PMI® Collaboration and Outreach award. He most recently served on the board of directors of Project Management For Change a nonprofit that received the Presidential Points of Light Service Award for their 2017 for Project Management Day of Service held on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day the national day of service.

Parking: When entering from Democracy Blvd, take a right off of Democracy Blvd into the Office Complex and make an immediate left. Drive past the hotel (located on right). Garage entrance is on the left hand side (behind the hotel). Parking is complimentary, please take a ticket to enter the garage and we will validate it upon departure. The entrance to the hotel is located on level 3 of the parking garage.
