Izla is our daughter who at 4 months old was diagnosed with West Syndrome (a rare and catastrophic form of Epilepsy). Iza's Purple Crusade was created in 2011 when Izla defeated all odds and decided she would walk and talk, so we decided to get a group of family and friends together and do our first ever fundraiser. Our focus has been to create awareness of Epilepsy within our community and fundraise for Epilepsy. We have raised over $80,000 and donated all monies to the Epilepsy Centre SA/NT. We have been talking for years about creating a local event and this year is the year! This year a small group of supportive friends are helping us keep the cost down, run it locally and raise lots of money and awareness for all living with Epilepsy. Izlas favourite weekend fun is to ride the carousel and now we have the 2016 Izla's Carousel Run! We are very excited for this event and know that many people who meet Izla are very excited about joining Izla's Purple Crusade. "Izla battles epilepsy every day - we support her in every way"
