On Saturday, November 4th, 2017, the ITE Toronto Section Executive is hosting the first ever ITE Toronto Curling Bonspiel! Sign up today to enjoy one of Canada's favourite sports with your fellow ITE colleagues and friends.
The Bonspiel will take place at the beautiful Annandale Golf and Curling Club. The event will take place from noon to 6 pm, with lessons available starting at 11:30am for new curlers or curlers looking to get a refresher. ITE Members and non-members alike are welcome, rules for team and individual sign-up are below. Lunch and dinner will be served and 2 games will be played.
Team Sign-Up:
- Minimum of one ITE member or student per team.
- Teams must have at least one new curler or non-regular curler
- 3-5 people per team (ideally 4)
Individual Sign Up:
- Individuals who sign up will be assigned to teams in advance of the day
- Must indicate level of experience
- If you wish to be placed with another individual sign-up, indicate so during registration.
If you've never played the game and have no idea how to play, don't worry! We will be running an intro to curling lesson from 11:30 to 12:30 for anyone wishing to attend, and check out this webpage http://mentalfloss.com/article/23982/what-exactly-curling.
What do you need to bring? It's chilly out there, so hats, gloves and warm pants/light winter jackets are recommended. If you have curling brooms and shoes, great! If not, bring a pair of clean running shoes and we'll provide the rest.
