Abstract
The rising number of RBTs, coupled with the increasing number of BCBA candidates, leads to a significant demand for quality and plentiful supervision. When we consider the requirement to provide BCBA supervision coupled with the responsibility to provide behavior-analytic program to our clients, the enormity of our supervision responsibilities can become overwhelming. Additionally, there is a growing interest in accessing ABA supervision internationally despite barriers such as resource availability, credentialing restrictions, and access to local supervisors. It becomes of great importance identify skills that should be present in behavior analytic practitioners, as well as provide supervision that is efficient, effective, and culturally-sensitive. Supervision models to be reviewed are currently implemented with Lehigh University Autism Services (LUAS) and the Global Autism Project. This workshop will focus on ensuring that supervisees be given the necessary skills to become fluent in their applied practice, utilize problem-solving skills, and use verbal behavior of the science as well as colloquial language.
