Dr. Claudia Dozier is an associate professor in the department of Applied Behavioral Science at the University of Kansas and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Dr. Dozier’s current area of research is in assessment, treatment, and prevention of problem behavior in children with and without development disabilities and adults with developmental disabilities. Dr. Dozier is the faculty supervisor for a preschool program and an early intensive behavioral intervention program in the Edna A. Hill Child Development Center at the University of Kansas. She and her graduate students also consult on behavioral services provided to a large residential facility serving adults with disabilities. She is an associate editor for the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and serves on the editorial boards of several other behavioral journals.

Brett Kuhn is a licensed psychologist and Professor of Pediatrics and Psychology at the Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics & Rehabilitation and University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Kuhn is certified in behavioral sleep medicine (CBSM) by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). He served on the AASM sponsored committee to create the national standards of practice for children with bedtime resistance and nighttime awakenings. He is currently a member of the international Pediatric Sleep Council. Dr. Kuhn directs the behavioral sleep medicine clinic at the Children’s Sleep Disorders Center in Omaha, where he supervises medical residents, sleep fellows, and psychology interns. He has published a number of professional articles and book chapters on the topics of children’s behavioral health issues. Dr. Kuhn co-edited Behavioral Treatments for Sleep Disorders: A Comprehensive Primer of Behavioral Sleep Medicine Interventions. He also co-authored a popular press book entitled The Toddler Owner’s Manual: Operating Instructions, Troubleshooting Tips, and Advice on System Maintenance.

Dr. Sacha Pence is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the Applied Behavior Analysis Master’s program at Drake University. Dr. Pence received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Biology at Northern Michigan University and her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis through the joint program at Northeastern University and the New England Center for Children. She completed her PhD in Behavior Analysis at West Virginia University under the mentorship of Claire St. Peter. She was a faculty member in the Applied Behavior Analysis program at Auburn University before relocating to Des Moines to join Drake University. Dr. Pence’s research largely focuses on improving treatment outcomes for children who engage in challenging behavior, evaluating the effects of treatment-integrity errors, and assessing staff-training procedures and outcomes.

Sorah Stein, MA, BCBA, CSE, is the Clinical director for ABA services at Partnership for Behavior Change in South Bend, IN, with over 20-years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities and their caregivers. . She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator, and AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator Supervisor. Additionally, she teaches ABA and psychology courses at a local university and provides remote supervision and consultation.

Evelyn Horton is the Vice President of Children’s Services with Balance Autism where she has served since 2006. Evelyn is a former school teacher with a Master’s in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Evelyn has been instrumental in expanding and developing services to include 6 autism clinics across the state. Evelyn has served on state wide boards including past president of Autism Society of Iowa, as well as the Iowa Association of Behavior Analysts. Evelyn is currently appointed to the Governor’s Iowa Autism Council as a board member. Her interest is in developing greater access to effective treatment for individuals with autism.
