IOSH Singapore Branch is delighted to invite you to join us for an IOSH Networking Night on 6th July 2017. IOSH Singapore Branch is pleased to have Er. CHUI Heng Tak to share with us Overview of ISO 45001.
Primary purpose of this discussion is to provide an overview of the new ISO 45001 that will replace OHSAS 18001. ISO 45001 Occupational health and safety management system is expected to be published around Q1 of 2018. This standard adopts the High Level Structure (HLS) introduced by the ISO body in 2012 for all management systems.
Primary advantages of the HLS
With the HLS, ISO 45001 requires top management to identify organization context which include identification of internal and external interested parties and their needs and expectation; exercise leadership and taking more accountability to ensure the work environment is safe for the workers and interested parties; actions to address risks and opportunities, and elimination of safety hazards and reducing safety and health risks.
