IOSH Singapore Branch would like to welcome you back at our regular networking night, with a little twist from now on. We'll start off with a short open microphone session, open to anyone from the floor. Feel free to come forward to share your health and safety related encounters! What is in for you? We've invited Sadia Brennan to brief about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that came into force in May 2018 and how it affects IOSH members. She will also present on gender specific challenges in hazardous industries. Providing an overview on safety considerations when working offshore, experiences as a well construction engineer and challenges encountered on the way. We've also invited Dr Ernesto Escudero Mangual, a Chiropractor, to share about workplace ergonomics and injuries. He will touch on the posture and effects on your health, signs and symptoms and it's prevention. Bio of Sadia Brennan Sadia worked for Schlumberger for 13 years, part of that time as a cementing and drilling fluids engineer in the upstream oil and gas industry. Her career has taken her to Tunisia, Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Singapore, UK and Malaysia. She has published a technical paper on drilling techniques. Sadia is also a Chartered member of IOSH and now works for a well-known US based MNC, managing Safety and Security for the company's operations in 13 countries in Asia. Bio of Dr. Ernesto Escudero Mangual - Doctor of Chiropractic (Life Chiropractic College West, USA) - Multiple Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Sport Science & Health Promotion (Sacred Heart University, USA) - Post-graduate study in Chiropractic Neurology - Carrick Institute of Neurology in California - Board Certified Licensed Doctor Of Chiropractic & Physio Therapy in the United State - Practice experience in San Francisco and Europe, treating a broad spectrum of patients from children to geriatric community, including specialised health talks in women's health, work safety, ergonomics and sports injuries. - Non-surgical spinal decompression, certified by Hill DT Lab - Team leader and co-planner of chiropractic mission trips to population in need in Peru and Argentina - Proficient in Diversified, Gonstead and Sacro-occipital Chiropractic techniques with post-doctorate training in neurological diagnosis, slipped discs and soft tissue management Who Should Attend All Singapore branch members Health and safety practitioners interested to join IOSH Members enjoy priority, please register your attendance by 8 July 2018 with a valid IOSH membership number to secure a placement.
