IOSH Networking Night - European HSE law and Dredging Safety by Mr. David Van Den Meersschaut 7 April 2017

IOSH Singapore Branch is delighted to invite you to join us for an IOSH Networking Night on 7^th April 2017. IOSH Singapore Branch is pleased to have Mr. David Van Den Meersschaut to share with us salient features of European HSE legislation and Dredging Safety.

David Van den Meerschaut has a Master degree in chemistry, option Bio-Chemistry-specialization Environmental techniques. After obtaining his master degree Mr. David obtained a post-graduate in advanced safety techniques and in specialized environmental techniques at the University in Brussels (Belgium) which allow him to act as an official registered advisor with regards to safety and environment within Belgium. The last ten years Mr. David is working as QHSES-Manager with Dredging International during which he specialized himself in the actual implementation of Integrated Management System during the execution of projects worldwide. A few projects/realizations that Mr. David Contributed to are:

•  Soyo, Angola, Africa: Reclamation of land for the erection of an LNG-Terminal;
• Ada, Ghana, Africa: Construction of 12 groynes to reduce coastal erosion effects;
• Onne, Nigeria, Africa: Extension of Onne Harbour with a quay wall over a length of 1000 meter (Dredging + construction Scope)
• Suez, Egypt, Africa: Doubling of the Capacity of the Suez Canal;
• Montevideo, Uruguay, South America: Extension of Montevideo Port (Dredging Scope);
