Basic AP of skin, types of wounds and how they may be sustained
Practical workshop including effective hand washing, aseptic and clean dressing changes. Equipment and introduction to different types of dressings. Role of HCSWs in following delegated procedure when competency gained. Documentation and reporting concerns.
Aimed at: New HCA's - basic intro re simple wound aseptic technique (have had many who are experienced attend if they haven’t had training in past includes practical and found valuable)
