Introduction to Rafting - Course 2

Holme Pierrepont Canoe Club are running an introduction to raft racing course. Over the course of 4 weeks you will learn everything needed to be part of a team of paddlers on the white water course. 

The sessions will be based across both the flat and the white water course, with paddlers learning skills as both an individual and as a team. The course will start with learning how to get the raft moving in a straight line as well as manoeuvring around buoys on the flat water before taking those skills onto the white water course.

The sessions will take place on a Thursday night from 6:30 - 8:30 at a cost of £30 for the duration of the course, however paddlers must be aged 14+.

All kit hire and water access fees are included.  Please note that this course will run regardless of the weather, but at this time of the year access to the WW course cannot be guaranteed. In the event that the water quality is very poor and the centre isn't open, we will have to cancel, however we will still look to run the full 4 sessions.
