Summary: This course provides an introductory level of knowledge for personnel building networks in the security and surveillance arena. Topics include the OSI model and how it relates to surveillance, physical cabling, power supplies, telnet, PuTTY, serial connections, and basic configuration of switches for deployment.
The lab portionof the course consists of installing Telnet and PuTTY and configuring a switch via Serial, Telsnet, and Web interface, followed by building a STP ring.
