Identify how student social-emotional skills contribute to the effectiveness of the top 20 accommodations used to meet students’ needs and recognize how accommodations facilitate students’ social-emotional and academic development.

Interested participants are eligible for 2 hours of CTLE credit for attending this event.

An accommodation supports a student to access the same content and skills as everyone else. Many of these accommodations are, in fact, teaching social-emotional skills. And, many social-emotional skills ensure that accommodations are effectively accessed by students in a safe and supportive learning environment.

In this session, we will clarify and strengthen the connection between accommodations and social-emotional skills to ensure that every student has the opportunity to develop social-emotional skills and access the accommodations they deserve.
