Event Abstract
At British Airways, we care about the impact every flight has on our planet. That’s why we’re driving urgent action towards net zero emissions. As an industry leader, we have a long history of managing and reducing our carbon emissions and a clear roadmap to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
A year ago we launched our BA Better World sustainability programme which aims to put sustainability at the heart of our business and covers three strands, People, Planet and Responsible Business. From creating a great place for people to work to reducing our emissions and waste and contributing to the communities we serve, we are building a thriving, resilient, responsible business.
From investing in new, more fuel efficient aircraft and investing in the development and scale up of sustainable aviation fuel, we have a range of ambitious short, medium and long-term initiatives to achieve our climate goals. Hear from British Airways’ Director of Sustainability, Carrie Harris, about the progress the airline has made so far and the exciting next steps on its journey to net zero.
