Facing Forward

It is clear that ELT is experiencing an evolutionary leap, and changes which might have taken five years or more are already well underway. For instance:

  • Online is here to stay.
  • Face-to-face is starting to return, but not as we know it.
  • Photocopies and hard-copy resources are becoming a thing of the past (and the planet is rejoicing!).
  • We are more conscious than ever about the wellbeing of teachers, trainers and students.

Now is the moment to face forward and consider what we want this exciting new era to look like. Join us at InnovateELT 2021 as we start to shape the future of ELT.  We’ll be exploring:

  • Our continued effort to keep our schools, classrooms and minds focused on sustainability.
  • The developments our industry is undergoing in the context of traditional, hybrid and online teaching.
  • How today’s teachers can develop their entrepreneurial skills and build an online presence.
  • How wellbeing can be incorporated into our work to the benefit of ourselves and our students.
  • Some of the most progressive and innovative teaching tools that will re-shape the way we teach both online and in-person.
  • Teaching Training and how we can exploit and adapt to the boom in 100% online courses.

 You can expect:

  • 30+ insightful talks, workshops, plenaries, drop-in sessions and live demo lessons on zoom
  • Lively discussions and interactions in creative Coffee Breaks
  • A chance to mix with teachers, teacher trainers, managers, publishers and other ELT professionals
  • The opportunity to win prizes in our InnovateELT quiz.

Come join us on October 1st and 2nd! [Spain time]

InnovateELT was set up in 2015 with the aim of discussing the role of innovation in language education and celebrating some of the most exciting things happening around us. In 2020, OxfordTEFL brought you the online version of the conference. In 2021, we are facing forward - exploring innovative ideas as we adapt to the changes in our industry. We can promise you the same great InnovateELT atmosphere but with a smaller carbon footprint! :)
